 esearch)\nThe work was done within the mega-science project for the new ac
 celerator-collider complex NICA at the JINR in Dubna. The existing superco
 nducting synchrotron is operating since 1993 and requires a modernization.
  It is planned to build the New Nuclotron using magnets made from the seco
 nd-generation HTS material produced at the SuperOx company in Moscow. The 
 magnets will be cooled down to 30 K by a two-phase Neon flow inside the ca
 ble channels of the coil\, or to 50 K …65 K by gaseous helium for the HT
 S material of the next generation.  We present the cooling scheme and the
