DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Vasily Gerasimov (Budker Institute of nuclear physic
 s SB RAS)\nFor almost 20 years\, users from various fields of science have
  been conducting fundamental research at the unique facility Novosibirsk F
 ree Electron Laser (NovoFEL) of the Siberian synchrotron and terahertz rad
 iation research center. The combination of unique characteristics of NovoF
 EL radiation\, as high spectral power\, monochromaticity\, wavelength tuna
 bility in a wide wavelength range (8–400 μm)\, spatial and temporal coh
 erence\, enable to solve the scientific problems that are inaccessible whe
 n using conventional terahertz sources. Among the ongoing work at the Novo
 FEL\, several main streams of research can be stand out: THz photonics and
  plasmonics\, materials science\, THz acousto-optics\, ultrafast time-reso
 lved spectroscopy of molecules\, optical discharge in gases\, THz EPR spec
 troscopy of molecular magnets and paramagnetic compounds\, studies the aff
 ect of THz radiation on biological objects.\nThe most significant results 
 of researches achieved at the Novosibirsk radiation source in recent years

 te of Nuclear Physics)\nThe Novosibirsk FEL facility includes three FELs o
 perating in the terahertz\, far-\, and mid- infrared spectral ranges. It h
 as rather long history\, but its potential has not been fully revealed so 
 far. The first FEL of this facility has been operating for users of terahe
 rtz radiation since 2004. Its initial wavelength range had been 90 – 240
  μm but recently it was increased up to 400 μm. The second FEL was commi
 ssioned in 2009. In 2021 the old electromagnetic undulator of this FEL was
  replaced by a new undulator with variable period and lasing in the wavele
 ngth range 15 – 120 μm was obtained. The third FEL was commissioned in 
 2015 to cover the wavelength range of 5 – 20 μm. In this paper\, we pre
 sent an overview of the facility\, report our recent achievements and disc

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: A. Valentinov (NRC Kurchatov Institute)\nThe Kurchat
 ov synchrotron radiation source goes on to operate in the range of synchro
 tron radiation from VUV up to hard X-ray. Maximal electron current achieve
 s 150 mA at 2.5 GeV\, up to 12 experimental stations may function simultan
 eously. Improvement of the facility according Federal Program of KSRS mode
 rnization is in progress. At the end of 2021 manufacturing of third 181 MH
 z RF generator\, new preliminary amplification cascades and new waveguides
  for all three generators was completed in Budker Institute (Novosibirsk).
  Control system modernization will be finished until the end of 2023. Also
  reconstruction of facility building ventilation system was completed incl
 uding machine tunnel cooling. Preparation for great modernization of the w
 hole facility according Federal Program for science infrastructure develop

 нейного ускорителя с параметрами\, обесп
 ечивающими работу синхротрона и лазера 
 на свободных электронах\; линейный ускор
 итель на энергию 6 ГэВ с возможностью рег
 улировки выходной энергии от 2 до 4 ГэВ\; н
 акопительное кольцо электронного синхр
