DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Petar RADOS (Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY)
)\nThe Belle II experiment is a detector coupled to the SuperKEKB\nelectro
n-positron accelerator\, located in Tsukuba\, Japan. From April to July\no
f 2018\, Belle II completed the Phase II of commissioning in which ~500 pb
-1\nof data was recorded. Phase III will start in 2019 and\, by 2025\, a d
ataset\nof 50 ab-1 is expected. This large dataset will provide a unique o
pportunity\nto study tau lepton physics with high precision. In this talk\
, the tau\nlepton rediscovery and mass measurement using the Phase II data
will be\npresented\, followed by a review of the tau physics program for
 Phase III.\n\nhttps://indico.inp.nsk.su/event/15/contributions/597/

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Pablo Roig (Cinvestav)\nTraditionally\, nuclear beta
decays and radiative pion decays have been\nthought as the best processes
to look for non-standard charged current\nweak interactions involving lig

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Ivan Nikolaev (Budker Insitute of Nuclear Physics)\n
 We had performed a tau threshold scan with $\\int L \\approx 130~pb^{-1}$
for a\nnew tau-lepton mass measurement with BES-III detector in 2018. The
beam energy\nis determined by laser backscattering and high-purity german
ium detector which\nis calibrated by $\\gamma$-sources. We have done $J/\\
psi$ and $\\psi(2S)$-meson\nscans to examine beam energy measurement syste
 m. In this report we present\npreliminary result of the tau mass measurem
 ent.\n\nhttps://indico.inp.nsk.su/event/15/contributions/677/

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Sergi Gonzàlez-Solís (Department of Physics\, Indi
ana University)\nThe τ is the only lepton massive enough to decay into ha
drons. Its semilep-\ntonic decays provide a privileged scenario to study l
ow-energy effects of the strong\ninteractions under rather clean condition
 s. Such advantageous framework is used to\nimprove our understanding of th
e hadronization of QCD currents\, to study meson\nform factors and to extr
act the physical parameters of the intermediate resonances\nproduced in th
e decay. In this talk\, we will review the status of the hadronic τ decay
\nmodes with particular attention to its decays into two hadrons. By explo
iting the\nsynergy between dispersion relations and Chiral Perturbation Th
eory we describe\nthe meson from factors that come up into play. We will a
lso briefly review higher-\nmultiplicity decay modes. These involve a rich
er dynamical structure but accounting\nfor the strong rescattering effects
is not an easy task when three or more hadrons\nare present. The fantasti
c possibilities offered by the Belle-II experiment to study\nτ physics an
d low multiplicity final states with high precision make these studies of\
 ntimely interest.\n\nhttps://indico.inp.nsk.su/event/15/contributions/599/

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Denis Epifanov (BINP)\nMichel parameters (MP) define
the Lorentz structure of the Charged Weak\nInteraction mediated by W boso
n in the Standard Model (SM). \nThey are in the list of the basic properti
es of tau lepton. \nThe difference of the measured MP from their SM expect
ation \nwill exhibit clear signature of the New Physics. \nWe discuss the
key points of the analysis of the huge data \nsample of taus collected at
Belle to measure MP\nin leptonic tau decays. Essential point of the analys
is is to \nconsider the spin-spin correlation of taus\, which allows us to
\nextract MP related to tau polarization. At the e+ e- factories \nwith u
npolarized beams one have to analyze decay products of \nboth taus to be s
ensitive to the spin-spin correlation. \nNonzero average polarization of s
ingle tau at the Super \nCharm-Tau factory with polarized e- beam provides
unique \npossibility to measure all Michel parameters without tagging \nt
 he opposite tau.\n\nhttps://indico.inp.nsk.su/event/15/contributions/650/

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Emilie Passemar (Indiana University/JLab)\nSeveral e
xperimental collaborations have recently invested considerable effort in p
recision studies of hadronic tau decays. \nWith further improvements expec
ted at Belle-II\, it is important to discuss the theoretical implications
of these experimental advances. In this talk\, I will review several such
implications. First\, we will show that hadronic tau decays represent a cl
ean laboratory \nfor the precise study of Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) in
its non perturbative regime. \nSecond\, these decays can be used as a prob
e of the electroweak interaction. In this respect\, we will discuss how ta
 u decays and in particular $\\tau \\to \\ell \\pi \\pi$ decays can be an i
nteresting probe for lepton flavour violation allowing to unveil new pheno
 mena.\n\nhttps://indico.inp.nsk.su/event/15/contributions/678/
