Description

The paper presents a technical design and some technical characteristics of the multilayer track chambers consisting of the precision drift tubes housed inside a 30 mm mylar pipe. The pipes are manufactured (welded by ultrasonic) from 125 mkm mylar film powdered with aluminium from both sides. 26 chambers with dimensions up to 2.5 x 2.5 sq.m incorporating totally 4400 drift tubes have been launched for the experiments at 70 GeV Serpukhof accelerator.
