Description
The project of the compact X-ray source based on Compton back scattering for the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI is discussed. Front to end beam dynamics simulation in linac and storage ring including collective effects allows to identify the main features of such installations and outline ways to overcome longitudinal and transverse instabilities and minimize bunch size at the beam-laser interaction region. Feedback proposed to mitigate the influence of instabilities and injection jitter in position and angle.
