Description
The injection chain of the NICA Collider (JINR, Dubna) consists of various ion sources, two linear accelerators, a $25 \, \mathrm{T \! \cdot\! m}$ superconducting (SC) Booster synchrotron, the existing SC synchrotron Nuclotron and beam transfer lines. Since the launch of the facility in December 2020, four commissioning Runs have been carried out with various ion beams. Two of them were carried out with physical experiments at the BM@N facility. The first results of the characteristics studies of the NICA Booster lattice are presented. The prospect for such research in planned and research works for the NICA injection chain and Collider facility are also discussed.
