Description
Results of analytical and numerical calculations of slow beam extraction from Nuclotron are presented. The simulations aimed to verification of measured data and definition of the system optimal settings for future improvements of the accelerator. A comparison of calculated data and experimental results measured with heavy ions accelerated in an injection part of the NICA accelerator complex. Possible causes of beam losses are analyzed in order to formulate experimental ways for increasing of the beam extraction efficiency.
