Description
The development of compact linear accelerator for medical radiation therapy has come to the final stage of production at NRNU MEPhI. The developed linac will be used to generate a gamma radiation for the external beam therapy of the patient. Generation of the gamma beam in the linac’s target is the topic of this article. Results of the Monte-Carlo simulations for the radiation spectrums and directivity without applying a flattening filter or external collimation are presented.
