Oral presentation WG4: Innovative accelerator techniques

Description

Studying plasma acceleration techniques highly relies on numerical simulation. Since general PIC simulations are computationally demanding, the development of various simplifying models is necessary for an optimal study of the phenomenon. We have implemented the algorithm for taking into account self-trapping of plasma electrons in the quasistatic code LCODE. The parameters of the laser pulse have been optimized by fast quasistatic simulations, and the best case was studied in detail using the general PIC simulation of FBPic.
