Description

D-BNCT is a linac-based BNCT facility in CSNS campus at Dongguan, China. The neutrons are generated from a Lithium target bombarded by a proton beam from an intense beam RFQ linac. It can provide beam power more than 35kW on a solid lithium target for providing an epithermal neutron flux of 1E9 n/cm^2/s for various researches on BNCT. The D-BNCT neutron source has completed its construction and the first neutron beam from the target has been detected. Based on this platform, some BNCT key technologies will be developed. Animal test is conducting now with CSNS neutron irradiation for the development of Boron drug of BPA. Another new BNCT clinic facility is under design and will be constructed in a local hospital for pre-clinic trail.
